Welcome to IHSU library! Our mission is to provide health care services through the support of teaching, learning, and research activities of our university. Our collection includes both print and electronical information resources.

Our library is the heart of our institution because its resources expand horizons and knowledge. The IHSU library works hand-in-hand with the Centre for Digital Learning and e-Health to ensure that our digital resources are always available. All our students can have access to our resources even after graduation, because it is in this way that life-long learning and Continuing Health and Medical Education can be brought to Uganda's healthcare workforce.

Given that our distance and remote-learning students need access to scholarly resources within the confines of their own work demands, our digital materials can be used by students and busy professionals on a 24/7 basis. Our library hosts learning resources and databases that are sufficient for all levels of student and the general public. We also have sufficient holdings in books, journals, and other resource materials (CDROM, Video) that supplement our digital resources.

In setting up a digital library that can function beyond its physical boundaries, we at IHSU hope that this will bear immediate results in terms of connecting health professionals to an always-available source of information. This knowledge resource means that vast distances can be cut to a matter of seconds with connectivity to the IHSU knowledge hub for staff, students, health professionals, and the general public.
